BARROW'S KFC could see new vegan burger after incredible trial at selected restaurants.

Vegan mania hit the UK this week as KFC has sold out of its newly launched Imposter Burger.

Excited vegans have been flocking to restaurants to get their first ever taste of KFC’s iconic Original Recipe.

In just three days, the Imposter Burger clocked up staggering sales figures – around 500% higher than a normal new KFC burger.

A represetative from Barrow's KFC restaurant, said: "The vegan burger is only being trialled at selected restaurants.

"I've been told if it does well during the trial, then it will served nationwide."

Vegans, veggies, flexitarian and intrigued chicken fans winged their way to restaurants across London, Bristol and The Midlands to get their hands on on the plant-based delite.

One restaurant in London, on Gloucester Road, sold roughly one Imposter Burger a minute on Wednesday.

Due to this phenomenal demand, the burger is now sold out – but fans need not despair, as it will be returning from Tuesday 2nd July.

Victoria Robertson, Senior Innovation Leader at KFC said: “We knew there were plenty of people who would want to get a taste of the Imposter, but we didn’t anticipate this phenomenal response! We can’t wait to get the Imposter back out in restaurants so vegans can get their finger lickin’ fix.”
