A BRITISH supermarket retailer has recalled a product after not labelling certain ingredients, which could cause buyers to have an allergic reaction, according to the Trading Standards website.

Asda is recalling the Liver and Bacon with Mash Meal from all its stores, including the company’s Barrow store on Walney Road.

The label failed to mention the product contains wheat (gluten) and rye (gluten).

As a result, the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to wheat, rye or gluten.

If any customers have bought the above product and have an allergy or intolerance to wheat, rye or gluten, buyers are asked to not eat it.

Trading Standards stated customers should return o the store from where it was bought for a full refund.
