More than 400 participants ran, jogged and walked the five kilometre parkrun courses across south Cumbria.

Barrow parkrun attracted 158 participants this week, of which nine were first timers and 22 recorded personal bests.

Congratulations were given to Rosina Singleton, who achieved a personal best time on her 100th parkrun.

Louise Cook also celebrated a milestone, running her 300th parkrun with the group.

First across the line this week was Andrew Dorrian in 16.50, followed by Luca Messenger Jones in17.25 and Cameron Bell in 19.03.

Amy Singleton was the first woman home in 22.07, followed by Louise Gregg in 22.50 and Sandra Garnett in 23.28.

Millom’s 130th parkrun was most definitely a family affair with numerous families and couples taking part.

Straight from the start, Dave Bridges put on an opening spurt with his son Reece and Nick Schaffer not very far behind.

Davewas the first man to cross the line in 23.15, with Reece behind him in 24.25.

Nick landed the third spot in an impressive 25.23.

Hannah Pinney was the first woman back to base in 24.27, followed by Leanne Jackson in 26.13 and Rachel Read in 26.29.

Ulverston’s Ford parkrun saw 86 parkrunners, comprising of 38 women and 46 men, tackle the five kilometre course this week.

Junior runner Jessica Bailey and Patrick Thomas finished with the highest age grade ratings.

Within this collection of people were tourists from as far away as Kent, with 11 people achieving personal bests.

Chris Joyce crossed the line first in 17.53, followed by Robert Barstow in 20.15 and James Bailey in 20.37.

Jessica Bailey was the first woman, and junior, home in 21.21.

Reuben Tighe followed behind her in 24.20, with Liz White finishing third in 24.44.

Robin Claxton was Newby Bridge’s winner this week, finishing in 17.30, followed by Michael Walker in 17.55 and Joseph Conner in 19.07.

Anna Lupton was the first woman home in 19.28, followed by Paula Pilling in 20.24 and Sophie Cowin in 21.01.
