A HARMFUL jellyfish was found on a beach.
One walker stumbled on the Lion's Mane jellyfish on Aldingham beach, off Ulverston's coast road, the latest in a number of sightings of the translucent stinger.
Other sightings have been reported at Askam beach and off the coast of Millom.
Stings from this type of jellyfish are said to be severe but not fatal.
Millom Coastguard warned people to wash any stings with vinegar and seek medical advice. Pet owners are asked to be vigilant.
