A DRIVER who failed to stop after a collision caused by driving on the wrong side of the road appeared in court to face charges.
Jonathan Mark Benson, 41, of Lowick Bridge, Ulverston, was ordered to wear an electronic tag when he appeared at South Cumbria Magistrates' Court on June 12.
He pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention on Lake Road in Windermere on December 12. He was said to have tried to overtake parked cars, moved to the other side of the road and hit an oncoming vehicle, failing to stop afterwards.
He was disqualified for 37 months and given a 7pm to 7am curfew for 12 weeks.
