THE Telegraph & Argus has welcomed a new reporter, thanks to a Facebook community journalism scheme.
Natasha Meek is one of around 80 community reporters working in newsrooms across the UK, funded by the social media platform.
Natasha will be focusing on two patches in the district - the Aire Valley and the BD8 area covering Manningham, Girlington and Frizinghall.
She said: "My two patches are really different, and I'm looking forward to getting to know what's really important to local people in each area.
"I want to be the go-to person on local issues and really get to the heart of these vibrant communities."
Natasha has previously completed a journalism apprenticeship covering several local newspapers in West Yorkshire.
The new positions have been created thanks to a £4.5 million charitable donation to the National Council for the Training of Journalists as part of a two-year project with regional publishers which aims to bring more diversity to newsrooms.
