MAYOR’S CHARITY: Former Mayor Bill McEwan spent the day giving out the money raised over the last year to his three mayoral charities.
The three charities supported by Cllr McEwan during his time in office were St Mary’s Hospice, Women’s Community Matters and Mind in Furness.
Over the course of the year, Cllr McEwan raised over £4,000 for the charities.
Yesterday he presented a representative from each group a cheque for £1,350.46.
