OPEN mic nights and musical events will take centre stage, according to the new tenants of an Ulverston pub.
New managers, Claire Farrell, 37, and Dylan Revell, 24, are set to reignite the music scene in the beloved Ulverston pub, Kings Arms.
The pair had dreamed of opening a country pub together for years before finally setting eyes on Kings Arms.
Previously known for being a sports bar, the newly managed pub is incorporating more musical elements into its schedule.
Miss Farrell said: "Previously it was quite a sporty pub which we're going to try and maintain.
"But when sport isn't on, we've introduced musical events, like every Thursday we're organised an open mic night and every other Friday we're doing a folk and blues night.
"I think combining sport and music is a great way of creating a sociable, friendly atmosphere."
Before getting into the pub business, Miss Farrell worked as a guitar teacher, travelling round France teaching music lessons.
She said: "I also worked in a hospitality background too which really helps in this job role.
"It's always been a dream of mine to open my own pub one day and just over a year ago, we really started to make that happen.
"We wanted a smallish country pub in a town with a music scene so Ulverston was perfect."
The pair are planning on introducing a small food menu including cheese board and food platters.
Since opening two weeks ago, the pair has received a great response.
"The other night we had our second mic night and had a massive turn out."
