A MOTORIST has been ordered to pay more than £500 after being caught drink-driving.
Benjamin Mooney, of Valley Drive in Barrow, was stopped by police when he was driving an Audi A3 on May 18.
He was arrested and provided a breath sample of 65 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.
The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
Mooney, 27, pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol when he appeared at South Cumbria Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
He was fined £440, disqualified from driving for 17 months and ordered to pay a £44 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.
