ON Sunday 16th June at 3pm, the Herdwyck Consort will be bringing a feast of choral music to Holy Trinity Church, in Millom.
In June of 1251 the town was granted a charter to hold a Trinity-tide market.
The Herdwyck Consort, a group which draws its singers from across Cumbria, to celebrate this anniversary with a programme, which will take the audience from a rowdy medieval marketplace in Paris to a contemporary setting.
Proceeds from the concert will be put towards installing modern facilities suitable for community use at Holy Trinity.
Tickets cost £10 and can be booked in advance, which includes an afternoon tea.
