SIX luxury ‘glamorous camping’ pods, designed for tourists looking for short breaks to the Lake District, are set to open today.
Moorside Glamping Pods, owned by Moorside Farm in Millom, will be holding a grand opening event for the Bank Holiday.
To get the planning permission for the new tourist attraction, the traditional family-owned farm had to apply to Copeland Borough Council several times, costing £3,600.
Project lead Sarah Irving said: “We had four planning rejections before we started breaking ground in September.
“Three of the pods provide space for four people and the other pods provide space for a family of five.
“Each pod has a state-of-the-art kitchen and washing facility.
“The heat for each pod is powered by a eco-friendly biomass boiler.”
