THREE fire engines were called to a bungalow fire in Grange.

At 03.18am this morning three fire engines from Grange, Ulverston and Milnthorpe were called to a reported fire on Dearden Close.

The fire involved one bungalow which was well alight on arrival.

Firefighters used two hose reel jets, two breathing apparatus, one thermal image camera and two roof ladders to extinguish the fire.

There was one casualty suffering from smoke inhalation who was given oxygen by fire crews before being handed over to the ambulance service.

Crews were at the scene for around two hours.
