A troubled outsourcing firm has been accused of using sabotage during a Union strike.
Mitie has recently been in the spotlight after180 Unite members, employed by Mitie at Sellafield in Cumbria, have been taking strike action in protest at the outsourcing company's low pay policy.
Supervisors and the catering manager employed by Mitie, which is a sub-contractor at Sellafield provide ‘soft services’ (catering, cleaning, security, etc), have been removing anti-bulling literature from canteens and changing areas.
Union representative, Ryan Armstrong said: "Unite have placed literature and stickers throughout Sellafield's site, demanding a zero tolerance to bullying and harassment, but these have been systematically removed by Mitie's staff."
A spokesperson from Mitie said: "We take bullying allegations very seriously, and all grievances raised are investigated with action taken."
