A MILLOM man will be running the 5K Brathay Marathon, near Ambleside, to raise a target of £250 for the community group SHINE for Autism.
Stephen Evans will be running the event after wanting to help his son Jesse, who has autism.
He said: I started running as it is one of the few fitness activities available to fit in with the busy lifestyle of working and parenting an autistic child.
"The fantastic work SHINE for Autism are doing in the local community is making a huge difference for many families around the Millom area.
"I am aware it’s going to be difficult, but it’s nothing compared to the difficulties autistic individuals face every day."
