Two fire engines attended the incident
Firefighters were called to a road traffic collision on Lake Road, in Windermere.
Two fire engines from Ambleside and Windermere were mobilised to attend the crash involving a car and a van around 6.30pm yesterday evening.
Firefighters extricated one casualty from one vehicle using hydraulic cutting equipment.
The casualty was then treated by ambulance paramedics.
Crews were in attendance for approximately one hour.
