MILLOM Library will be holding an event for book fanatics and nature lovers on behalf of Discover Brilliant Northern Writers.
On Thursday 13th June, Cumbrian writer Karen Lloyd will be speaking to attendees through a presentation about nature conservation.
Afterwards she will be onhand to speak with people through one-on-one sessions about her new book, The Blackbird Diaries.
The event, which starts at 6.30pm, chronicles the drama of the natural world as it unfolds in her South Lakes garden over four seasons.
The book has been described as an significant and lyrical read, celebrating wildlife and landscape, and a call for the conservation of endangered habitats and species.
If interested, the event's tickets cost £2 to attend, while booking ahead is advised.
