A BBC television presenter and explorer is set to hold the official grand re-opening of a venue, near Millom, on Saturday 18th May.
Paul Rose will officiate the opening of Kirksanton Village Hall, following the venue’s refurbishment and extension project.
The television presenter is a popular figure across Cumbria after his four-part BBC One series The Lakes with Paul Rose.
Venue trustee, Victoria Markendale said: "Paul Rose actually lives in Windermere and regularly walks around the Combe area.
"I contacted his PR agency and a few days later got a text from Mr Rose himself.
"He's excited about doing his officiate duties."
Mr Rose will host a special talk during the afternoon at the venue, where he will be free to speak to the attendees of the venue's ribbon-cutting ceremony.
