OFFICERS have launched an investigation after an attempted burglary at a house.
Police say they are hunting a man after who attempted to steal items from a property in West View Road, Barrow.
It happened at around 3pm on Wednesday.
The man was said to have entered the house while the residents were inside and escaped after hearing their voices.
He is said to be white, between 25 and 45 years, of skinny build and around 5ft6in.
At the time he was wearing a black hoodie with orange or red stripes and dark trousers.
Officers are keen to speak to anyone with information or who may have witnessed anything unusual around the time of the offence.
