THREE people were taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation after a fire in Barrow early this morning.
Fire engines from Barrow, Ulverston and Walney were called to a fire in a first floor flat fire on Egerton Court just after midnight.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus rescued three people and one dog from the flat and used a hose reel and two breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire.
The casualties were taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation.
Crews were in attendance for approximately one hour.
