A GROUP of unwitting party animals showcased their drinking talents on television’s hit new show.

Shaun Carson, Jack Neatis, Bradley Creegan, Allan Sutcliffe and Billy Beck were all stars of E4’s new ‘documentary’ show: ‘The Hangover Games’ which tests groups of unsuspecting friends with a series of hilarious challenges.

For the show’s eighth episode, presenter Matt Richardson took to the streets of Barrow where the squad were followed by cameras for what they believed was an episode of ‘Britain’s Best Night Out’.

The lads guided viewers on a tour round Barrow’s bars, including Jefferson’s and Cloud Nine.

The following morning, however, the gang were invited to star in the ‘The Hangover Games’ where they would be quizzed on the mischief of the previous night.

Billy Beck and Shaun Carson were the only partakers due to the rest of the gang’s fragile state.

Mr Beck said he had no idea the original show was a farce.

He said: “We didn’t have a clue the show wasn’t real.

“When I heard a knock at the door, I thought it was the police and we had done something wrong the night before.

“The other three lads were too hungover to take part, but me and Shaun were game.”

The duo took part in a series of challenges, including carrying a pint on their head, drinking a yard of liquidised chicken nuggets and enduring a body wax treatment.

Mr Beck said: “The wax was really quite painful.

"It’s definitely not something I’d recommend.

“It’s just not something you’d expect to be doing when you’ve got a hangover.

“Shaun’s drink smelled horrendous, I wouldn’t touch it.”

The pair competed to get their share of a £1000 which the duo quickly spent on a series of nights out.

Mr Beck said: “We went out that night to celebrate.

“It was a brilliant experience which really puts Barrow on the map.

“I think the show portrayed the town as a great night out.”
