A YOUNG boy from Barrow got the chance to meet the Mayor in reward for raising money for the homeless.
Dominic Tyson, six, was given a special tour of Barrow town hall and also given a certificate by Mayor Bill McEwan.
This was to recognise his generosity, after he decided to sell cakes to raise money for the Furness Homeless Shelter.
He successfully raised £35.
Dominic said: “It was good to look around the town hall.
“My favourite part was going up the tower and seeing the view.”
Cllr McEwan said: “I’m really proud of Dominic and his family.”
