Another crop of junior journalists have also tried their hand to writing about their exploits at Barrow Library's Lego club.

Sienna and Mariana were also wowed by what they could produce from the boundless box of creativity that was the stack of Lego bricks.

The seven-year-old Sienna wrote about how she enjoyed building a number of creations, which included a palace and a hotel.

Re-capping the event, Sienna wrote: "I went to Lego club at the library.

"I like making Lego and building different scenes.

"My favourites were a palace, pirate ship, hotel, desert and some more.

"I built a palace with a lab."

Mariana, who is aged 11, wrote about how the club inspired to be creative.

She also thanked the library for offering the activity.

She said she thought all libraries should host activities like this one.

Mariana joined the other participants in saying they thoroughly enjoyed the day.

She recounted her time at the club, saying: "I enjoyed the Lego building at Barrow Library.

"It inspired me greatly to use my imagination.

"In my opinion, the public libraries all around the world should do this kind of thing.

"I they should let children imagination and creativity run freely.

"I would like to say thank you to Cumbria library services for this activity."

It was clear on the day that all the children had a brilliant time expressing themselves and channelling their creativity through Lego.

The library will host more sessions in holidays to come.
