Some of the children who went along to Barrow Library's Lego club turned journalists afterwards to reflect on their experiences of the event.

Connie Park, eight, recounted how she used the club to build a museum.

She wrote: "I went to the Lego club at the library.

"There were quite a few other children there as well.

"We were all given a base and told to build anything that we wanted.

"I decide to build a museum.

"I built a room with an alarm on the door and with two men in the room.

"They were the people who find the things in the museum.

"It was great fun doing Lego club at the library with my friends and I wish that I could have stayed there for a longer time."

Thomas, seven, wrote about the Lego session, saying it had inspired him to be creative and was keen for the library to hold more of the events.

Thomas wrote: "The Lego session at Barrow library inspires me to build new creations because there are lots and lots of different Lego.

"I like to build scenes and today l built a beach scene with a pier, hot dog shop, shower, rescue bay, boat station and a souvenir shop. I also enjoy seeing what other people make with their Lego. It is a great thing to do and I hope they continue to do it."
