THE Askam and Ireleth History group is hosting a Memories and Memorabilia Night on Thursday, April 18, which will give a chance to study a rare collection about village life.
Members and visitors meet at 7.30pm in the Duddon Road Methodist Church , Askam. All are welcome.
This is a late change to the group’s programme and will feature the scrap books and photographs put together by the late Grace Regan and given to the group by her family.
She kept cuttings from the Mail from the late 1960s on anything about Askam and Ireleth.
A spokesperson said: “These scrapbooks are absolutely fascinating."
