THREE South Lake District councillors have provided a total of £3,000 to community projects to promote health and wellbeing.
The three councillors from the Furness Peninsula Ward have used their locality budget to support six projects in their area.
Councillor Andrew Butcher has given £500 towards a defibrillator at Spark Bridge and another £500 to help construction of a new Pennington walkway.
He said: "Promoting good health and wellbeing is important and these projects will all help in that goal."
Councillor James Airey provided £500 towards the Urswick Playground and another £500 for disabled access and an Urswick Tarn fishing stand, while councillor Airey provided £500 towards health and wellbeing work and £500 to help pay for new equipment at the Ulverston and District Equine Club.
