A NEW men's group met for the first time yesterday.

The Around The Combe Men's Lunch Group held their first meeting at the Devon Pub on Devonshire Road in Millom.

The group will meet every Tuesday going forward from 11am until 2pm at the Devon Pub.

Lunch will be provided, as well as darts, dominoes, pool and cards.

An Around The Combe spokeswoman spoke about the first meeting.

She: "Our first Men's Lunch group was a great success, lots of lovely men of all ages from around our area attended.

"This is a free group, you don't have to pre book we only ask this so we have enough food for everyone.

"It's a weekly group and I think it will just go from strength to strength."

She also thanked The Metal Ring Company, W. Milligan and sons as well as Slacks Millom for donating money to help run the club and more like it.
