A BARROW man has been arrested on suspicion of an assault after an alleged incident near to a play park.
Cumbria Police is appealing for witnesses to come forward after the man, who is in his 20s, was arrested in the Kirkland area of Kendal.
Officers were called shortly before 5pm today following a report of a man in his 20s having been assaulted near to the play park.
He has been taken to the Royal Lancaster Infirmary with head injuries. The seriousness of those injuries are not yet known.
The arrested man is currently in police custody.
Police said there were a number of people in the area at the time and officers would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident, or the moments leading up to it.
