SOME of the brightest theatrical talent in Furness took to the stage at Forum 28 to bring to life the classic musical My Fair Lady.
The Mail, on April 4 in 2000, noted that the cast was drawn from senior members of the Act Youth Theatre.
It noted: "The show features a long string of fabulous hit songs like I Could Have Danced All Night, With a Little Bit o' Luck, On the Street Where You Live, Show Me I've Grown Accustomed to Her Face, Wouldn't It Be Loverly? and I'm Getting Married in the Morning."
The show was directed by Chris Loveless and starred Matthew Sanders as Henry Higgins and Hannah Winslow as Eliza, whose life was transformed so she could be passed off as a duchess in polite society.
Top-price tickets were £5.
The musical was written by Lerner and Loewe and based on the Bernard Shaw play Pigmalion.
