A MAN convicted of sexual abusing two young sisters is due to be sentenced at a crown court today.
Scott Webb, 28, previously pleaded guilty to sexual assaulting the two girls over a period of four months when they were both under the age of 10.
Webb, of no fixed abode, admitted the offences of the first day of his trial when he appeared at Preston Crown Court in February.
He is due to be sentenced at the same court today. The mother of the two sisters previously said the family had "been through hell" in trying to prosecute Webb.
In 2007 one of the girls reported the abuse to her mum. The family reported the offences to police and were told Webb faced no further action. But the case was re-opened in 2014 when her sister confided that she had also been abused by him.
The mum used the Victim’s Right to Review to appeal to the Crown Prosecution Service.
