1 The hit Broadway musical, Jesus Christ Superstar, is coming to The Forum in Barrow.

Abbey Musical Society presents the sensational rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar which features the magnificent soundtrack by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice.

The musical is running at The Forum from Monday until Saturday March 23.

2 Traditional folk musicians, Phil Cunningham and Aly Bain, will be in concert this Friday, performing some of their finest Scottish hits.

Cunningham and Bain have toured and recorded together since 1988, combining their deep knowledge and understanding Scottish traditions gained from their long and extensive careers.

The pair are performing at The Coronation Hall this Friday from 8pm.

3 The Rubbish Shakespeare Company present its rendition of the tragic love story Romeo and Juliet.

This all-male, all-silly acting troupe present an hour of wigs, water, and floppy swords.

The troupe will be performing at The Beggar’s Theatre in Millom this Friday from 7pm.

4 St Mary’s Catholic Church in Ulverston is hosting a choir evening featuring the talent of Furness Bach Choir and Orchestra.

The choir will be performing this Saturday from 7.30pm.

5 Brown Robin Nature Reserve is hosting a Spring walk this Sunday morning for members of the public to try and spot the first signs of Spring.

The event is a two-mile walk across Grange, starting at 10.30am.

6 Indie rock band, The Luka State, is performing at the Underground Music Society tomorrow night.

Described as ‘the epitome of modern Rock-n-roll’, the band shot to fame following the release of their debut single ‘Matter of Time’.

7 Patsy Cline tribute artist, Sue Lowry, is bringing her country-inspired show to The Forum tonight.

Patsy Cline was a record-breaking artist spending 251 weeks in the Country Music Album Charts in the USA.

Lowry is performing from 7.30pm and tickets are available on The Forum website.

8 An exhibition of the wooden furniture and sculpture of Tim Stead, entitled ‘Sculpture in Disguise’, continues at The Dock Museum this week.

The exhibition is on every day.

9 Barrow District Disability Association is hosting a community craft fair this Friday and Saturday.

Come along and take a look at lots of local Craft Stalls, Tombola and Bric-a-Brac.

The event will be at The Community Project Shop, next to Barrow Market Hall this March 15 and 16 from 10 am.

10 Ulverston Triathlon Club is continuing their endurance-testing races this weekend.

The duathlon consists of a 5km run, 17km bike ride and another 5km run.

Prizes are available for first, second and third places.
