THIS month the Vue Barrow is hosting some top film and theatre as part of its Big Screen Events calendar and tonight celebrates the 40th anniversary of iconic sci-fi horror film Alien with a screening of the original film. Considered one of the all time greats of its genre, Alien sees the crew of the spaceship Nostromo investigate a transmission from a desolate planet and make a horrifying discovery. THE Roxy at Ulverston is staging a special three-night run from tonight of Bohemian Rhapsody, which landed lead actor Rami Malek with a Oscar for best actor. The movie is a foot-stomping celebration of Queen, their music and their extraordinary lead singer Freddie Mercury, who became one of the most beloved entertainers on the planet.
