ONE of Barrow's premier nightspots will play host to a special fundraising event in memory of a well-known DJ and veteran of Barrow’s night scene.
Manhattans Nightclub based on Cavendish Street in Barrow will be hosting a 70s and 80s Disco night tonight (March 1) in memory of DJ Stuart Salt who died in March last year aged 63 following a stroke.
Mr Salt is well known in the area after spinning records for more than four decades in Barrow and beyond.
The event is being run to raise as much money as possible for the Oncology and Stroke units at Furness General Hospital and will be split equally between the two units.
There will be live music by PV77 and six other DJ’s will be spinning the funkiest tunes from the 70s and 80s.
Admission is £5 and tickets are available on the door, with doors opening at 9pm.
