A REPEAT shoplifter who stole a £3.75 bottle of wine on Valentines Day has been jailed for 16 weeks.
Mark Martin, of Low White Close, Barrow, admitted three charges of stealing booze on New Years Day and Valentines Day from shops in Barrow when he appeared at South Cumbria Magistrates. The 50-year-old also admitted failing to make himself available for a tag to be installed, which was included as part of a previous sentence for similar offences. That order was revoked and the jail term imposed.
