A BARROW man has been ordered to pay nearly £500 in compensation after damaging a display cabinet at an off-licence.
Aaron Bell, 24, of Roose Road, admitted damaging the item at Batty's on Rawlinson Street on January 22 when he appeared at South Cumbria Magistrates Court. He also admitted assaulting and using threatening words towards Callum Mathieson on the same day. Bell was given a curfew meaning he must be in his house between 7pm-7am until June 5, and was told to pay £300 compensation to Mr Mathieson.
