AN ULVERSTON company is expanding their premises and staff force after 10 years in operation.

Reliacare is a community care service focused on providing domiciliary care services to the highest of standards.

The organisation was set up in 2009 by managing director and partner Becky Grayless who saw a need in the Ulverston area for a community-based care.

She said: “My nanna who had been very independent all her life started becoming forgetful and needing support in her home.

“The whole family cared and supported her until her end days and that then inspired me to start providing care and support to other people.

“ I wanted people to be able to remain at home if they wished and receive care at the highest quality level that they deserve.

“Gradually over the years we have got to the company size we are now and all our staff run alongside the same beliefs we have.”

Since then, the company has grown to a staff force of more than 20 employees, with improved facilities.

Mrs Grayless added: “It has been a very busy time and without the support and understanding from them we wouldn’t have achieved what we have.

“We have two fantastic team managers, Sarah Quayle who runs the Ulverston area and Mandy Jones who runs the Barrow and Dalton area.”

Mrs Grayless co-directs the organisation with Vicky Gribbin who joined the company in 2011.

Mrs Grayless said: “In October 2017 Vicky was diagnosed with breast cancer and not long after this I myself realised I was pregnant.

“We made the decision to restructure our teams and allow ourselves to have some time off for Vicky’s treatment and my baby arriving.

“Vicky has recovered very well from her treatment and is doing extremely well and is currently in good health.”

Mrs Gribbin spoke about the tremendous support the staff members have shown throughout her difficult time.

“The staff have been fantastic, they’ve all been so lovely and supportive.”

Reliacare were rated at a good standard with no recommendations in their latest CQC inspection.
