A WOMAN has raised concerns about a man who continues to cause problems after he climbed over her garage to gain unwanted access to her home.

Ann-Marie Jump, from the Holborn Hill area of Millom has urged residents to make official reports to the police about a man who continues to cause problems in the area after he entered her home on January 30.

Copeland Police have received several complaints about the same man knocking on doors in Millom, but Mrs Jump said there had been many more residents complaining about the man on Facebook.

“The man first climbed over my garage at the back and then simply walked into my kitchen,” said Mrs Jump.

“Fortunately, my husband’s best friend was there to push him out, but he kept banging on the window.

“We told him we were calling the police and he then got back onto the roof.”

An investigation is still ongoing into the incident and the police have stopped and searched the many on numerous occasions, however he was found not to be in possession of any weapon nor had he committed a crime.

A police spokesman said: “The main concern is for the health of this male and he has been referred to the appropriate health service by police on each occasion.

“I am aware of the local concerns being mooted on Facebook and we are working with partner agencies to attempt to resolve this. If you have been a victim then please call 101 or 999 as appropriate to report the issue.”
