A BURST water main has finally been fixed after some residents were prevented from having access to water for most of the day.
Engineers from United Utilities have finished repairing a leaking pipe found in a field in Coniston that prevented some residents from having access to water.
A spokesman from United Utilities has however said that it may take up to 2 hours for the water pressure to return to normal levels.
At one-point residents from Coniston were cautioned to “store some water as a precaution” as engineers looked to resolve the issue.
However, now that there has been some disturbance to the pipes residents may notice the water is a little cloudy or discoloured.
In this scenario residents have been advised to check United Utilities Discoloured Water page for more information, which you can view at: https://www.unitedutilities.com/help-and-support/your-water-supply/about-your-water/discoloured-water/
A spokesman from Untied Utilities also thanked all residents for their patience during the time it took their engineers to resolve the issue.
