A YOUNG Furness musician is confirmed to be performing at this year's British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) awards show.
Jess Gillam, 20, from Ulverston, will perform alongside the obituaries at this year's awards ceremony.
Miss Gillam, a talented saxophonist, was a finalist in the BBC Young Musician competition in 2016, having won the woodwind section, and last year received a Classic Brit Award in the Sound of Classical Poll 2018.
A spokesman for BAFTA, said: "This year one of the most exciting artists in classical music, Jess Gillam, will perform alongside this year’s obituaries."
The BAFTAs will take place on Sunday February 10.
The awards show recognises the best British and international contributions to film.
