PEOPLE are being asked to ‘get on your soapbox’ at a number of events in Barrow over the next two months.
Run by the arts research group Art Gene, it will be a chance for people to share their views and ideas about the area.
The group will lead walks around the area after which there will be free home-cooked food and the chance to engage with artworks by artists-in-residence Louise Adkins and Clara Casian.
Each walk will be led by local wildlife expert Pete Burton, and speakers are Geoff Holmes, Furness Railway historian, Susan Benson from Barrow Archives and John Osbourne from Natural England, plus many more.
This coming Sunday, from 11am until 3pm, will be the first of the three events, located at Cavendish Dock.
