A TOUCH of Nashville comes to town next week when Europe's number one country music show returns for another fantastic night of toe tapping classics.

Legends of American Country has been seen by more than 250,000 fans and showcases acclaimed tributes to Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Tammy Wynette and Kenny Rogers plus five fresh pieces that celebrate icons Willie Nelson, Charley Pride, Patsy Cline, Glen Campbell and Don Williams as well as countless other country crackers in what's regarded as a must-see extravaganza. The highly thought of production features four top singers who are all backed by the superb Keltic Storm band and coupled with an authentic stage set that transports the audience across to Nashville and back.

The 2019 tour will stop off at The Forum at Barrow on Wednesday, February 6 (7.30pm).

Meanwhile, one of the finest voices you will ever hear comes to The Forum this Sunday (February 3).

Playing Barrow as part of a nationwide tour performing classic material from her extraordinary canon of music, Barbara Dickson is the biggest selling Scottish female album artist of all time, earning six platinum, 11 gold and seven silver albums with hits including Answer Me, Another Suitcase in Another Hall, The Caravan Song and I Know Him So Well. As well as a great voice Barbara has an equally impressive Olivier Award winning acting career and was awarded an OBE from the Queen in 2002 for services to music and drama.

And there are more high profile names from the music world playing the Barrow venue.

Celebrating three decades of the release of the classic live album Bitter Suite, Hue and Cry have hit the road for some special stripped back shows, heading to The Forum on Saturday, February 9 (7.30pm). Bitter Suite, released in 1989, was Hue and Cry’s third album and the band’s first live recording following the chart success of their debut album Seduced and Abandoned and follow up Remote. Bitter Suite features a beautiful acoustic version of classic Hue and Cry hit Looking For Linda along with their cover of Michael Marra’s seminal Mother Glasgow. For their special Bitter Suite 30th anniversary shows brothers Patrick and Gregory Kane will perform songs from the album as well as all their Hue and Cry hits and classics in a piano and vocal show.
