A COMMAND Unit from Walney Fire station was sent to attend a large-scale flooding incident in Ulverston.
For the second time in 24 hours the Joint Incident Command Unit at Walney Fire Station has been mobilised to provide support at an incident at Cumbria Tyres on North Lonsdale Road.
This morning at around 9:30am it was reported that the road was shut as a result of flooding and South Lakes Police advised residents to “find alternative routes.”
Ulverston Fire Crews were also at the scene alongside two fire appliances from Kendal.
The issue has now been resolved after the teams were able to isolate and pump the water out of the area.
Crews were at the scene for around eight hours.
