POLICE have warned people to keep an eye out for signs that may indicate a child is being exploited by county lines drugs gangs.
In a video released by Cumbria Police today they warned residents to keep an eye out for the following signs that may indicate they are involved in the distribution of drugs and are being exploited to do so.
This includes:
- skipping school and being secretive
- being increasingly aggressive or disruptive
- using sexual, drug-related or violent words you would not expect them to use
- unexplained gifts such as shoes or trainers
- turning up in other towns, villages or cities with no links to the places
- being found with drugs and/or cash
If you are concerned that a child is being exploited please contact the police on 101.
