RAMPSIDE Women's Institute held their first meeting of 2019.
The speaker for the evening was Barbara Birch, a fellow WI member from Scales WI. Barbara is a member of Gleaston Craft Group and brought a selection of handicrafts which she talked about.
It was agreed money raised during 2019 will go towards the WI centenary celebrations in 2020.
The Resolutions for the 2019 AGM were discussed and members voted unanimously for “A call against the Decline in Local Bus Services.”
The competition for a handicraft item was won by Jennifer Tomlinson.
The next meeting is on 13th February when the speaker will be a representative from the Birchall Trust who will also be presented with a cheque from the goodwill stall proceeds
