A BARROW man has been jailed for stealing meat worth £278 from the Co-op.
Simon James Duffield, of Manchester Street, admitted stealing the meat from the Dalton store on September 18.
He also pleaded guilty to stealing perfume from TK Maxx worth £150 and a Stanley cordless drill from B&Q worth £110 on September 12.
The 39-year-old was jailed for 28 days and ordered to pay a £110 surcharge at South Cumbria Magistrates' Court on Thursday.
No compensation order was made because of the custodial sentence.
