Staged by Sam Hughes' Laughing Penguin Events, the line up for Thursday, January 17, includes MC Harry Stachini, whose beginning to establish himself as a strong new act on the comedy circuit with his easy-going style; Tony Basnett, who started his stand-up career while studying at Leeds Met University back in 2008, and has gone on to perform at top comedy clubs across the country and at many of the UK’s major music festivals.

Meanwhile, tonight (Friday, January 11) Sam puts on a fundraiser for Ulverston Mind at The Mill, Ulverston.

One of Sam's Stand-up For Local Charities comedy nights, opening the show will be Simon Wozniak, who since starting stand-up in 2014, has gone on to quickly establish himself as one to watch, hotly-tipped by promoters and acts alike. Another star turn on the bill is Edy Hurst, regarded as one of the most exciting new acts around. Headlining is Andy Watson, whose blend of sharp one-liners, observational humour and physical comedy skills has been likened to a force of nature. MC will be Dominic Woodward.
