COMEDY lovers will be spoilt for choice with a number of charity nights in the coming weeks.
The Stand-up for Local Charities Comedy Night returns to the Duke of Edinburgh in Abbey Road, Barrow, for 2019.
The event showcases comedic talent from across the community and also supports local charities.
This time, proceeds will go to support Youth Ability.The project is set up by the Leonard Cheshire charity and delivers inclusive youth clubs across Cumbria for young disabled people.
Tickets cost £1 and the event starts at 7.30pm on January 3.
Then on January 11, Laughing Penguin Events is hosting a comedy night at The Mill in Ulverston.
Tickets cost £10 and the event will be fundraising for Ulverston Mind.
The charity offers advice to people with mental health problems in the community
Doors open at 7pm.
