MARKET traders, school pupils and office staff all did their bit for this year’s Christmas jumper day - which raised money for Save the Children.
Among those taking part were traders at Barrow Market, whose admin assistant said: “There was lots of market traders taking part in the jumper day.
“This is our second year running it and last year we were able to raise over £130 for the Save the Children charity.
“It has really helped to bring out the fun side of this time of year as all the traders are very busy.
“It also shows how generous all the traders are when donating to charity, each one donating between £2-5 for wearing their jumper.
“We are really hoping we can improve on what we raised last year.”
Sharon Mulroy, owner of Jay Jay’s Sweet Treat’s said: “Everyone in their jumpers has really helped to get people in the Christmas spirit.”
