TODAY sees the beginning of Millom’s Christmas Tree Festival.
Running for the seventh year, the festival, held at St George’s Church will this year feature trees decorated by community groups on the theme of “goodwill to all, peace on Earth”.
It will be open to the public between 1pm and 4pm on every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday until December 30, with a final outing on January 2.
The festival, inspired Dalton’s tree festival, is the brainchild of Fee Wilson, a Millom Town Councillor.
Money collected at the event will go towards the upkeep of the church.
