THE future of Grange lido will be debated by councillors at a meeting next week.
Campaigners have been fighting to renovate the dilapidated outdoor swimming pool, which has been closed since the early 1990s.
Now, members of South Lakeland district council are due to discuss the fate of the facility when they meet on December 18.
It comes after a petition online gathered more than 14,00 signatures.
Campaigners from the Save Grange Lido group have called on people to attend the meeting to show their support.
It will take place at 6.30 at Kendal Town Hall.
Barrow-born Hairy Biker was recently among those to lend his support to the lido.
He said: "The pool was amazing and when it closed 25 years it was a huge loss to the community.
"I’d love to see the Lido open again...which is why I’m supporting this campaign to Save Grange Lido."
