THE body of a man was pulled from Ulverston's canal today.
Police confirmed a man was discovered in the stretch of canal close to Canal Street just after 10am today.
A cordon placed around the scene has now been removed by officers.
A police spokesman said: "Police can confirm that the body of a male was found earlier today in Canal Street, Ulverston.
"Officers were called at 10.11am after the body was discovered in a canal.
"Police are today working to contact the next of kin.
"At this time there appear to be no suspicious circumstances."
